Data: Facts or observations about physical phenomenon or a raw unit of processed data.
Data Recovery: The procedure of recovering or restoring lost data from various storage media or computer system due to virus infection, hardware/software failure and human error etc.
Delete: The feature that allows removal of existing text, data, fields, records, files and folders.
Directory: A collection of related files.
Dock Connector: It was introduced with the Third-Generation iPod and is used with the Fourth-Generation and Fifth-Generation iPod mini and iPod nano. It is used to connect iPod to a computer system or power adapter.
EIDE: The primary interface to handle communication between hard disk drives and the central processing unit (CPU) that is used by desktop PCs.
Executable Code: The files with .EXE or .COM extensions are known as executable files that contains executable code. An executable code makes the software or program to run on the system.
FAQ: FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions that contain basic questions and answers.
FAT16: FAT file system based on 16 bit integer.
FAT32: FAT file system based on 32 bit integer that uses storage capacity more efficiently than FAT16.
FAT file system: A file system based on a file allocation table maintained by the OS to keep track of the status of various segments of disk space used for file storage.
FDISK: A software utility command used to partition a hard disk drive with DOS and windows operating systems.
File: File is a collection of related data records.
File Allocation Table (FAT): An area on the disk drive to reference files locations on that disk. The table is a chain identifying where each part of a file is located.
